The warm floral print carpeting was installed as part of casino renovations in 2011, and was used throughout the casino’s gaming floor. This is also when they started using the new ‘hand-lettered’ logo (it’s actually a modified version of the Bette ITC typeface).
The carpeting in the hotel hallways and convention center followed a similar tropical-inspired themes and continue using the warm colours; while the Trago lounge was the darkest and also most modern and abstract.
The Tropicana closed April 2, 2024—supposedly to make way for a new baseball stadium and a new Bally’s casino. We will see…
