One of the largest hotels in the world (including The Signature), and the largest casino in Las Vegas. When it opened in 1993, it had a Wizard of Oz theme, and a massive lion’s head entrance. Both have long been replaced, but now there’s great lounges like the Kenny Rogers-doppelgänger-manned casino bar and Whiskey Down; and the invitation-only Mansion.
The last-generation carpeting was a fun mix of organic circles and alternating stripes that formed a variety of floral patterns. Once it was replaced in 2020, it was reinstalled in Excalibur’s Fun Dungeon. The new carpeting is bright, vibrant washes of colourful gradients showcasing more modern blending techniques popular in contemporary casino carpeting.
The West Wing rooms (part of the original Marina Hotel structure) are small but nice, and the Skyloft suites are amazing with huge terraces and great views of The Strip. Lots of hookers to choose from late at night.
