We never got to see the pre-renovation Palace Station, which had a heavy train/train station theme. As with most modern casino renovations, that theme has nearly all been removed, and replaced with a modern, clean aesthetic. I have a feeling the convention carpet on the second floor is leftover that era since it’s design looks dated and doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the casino. The new casino carpet is, though, pretty nice. It uses a faceted geometic pattern that isn’t seen too often, although I feel like it could have been pushed a little further—it’s pretty basic in execution.
