OPENED 1989

DESIGNER • Terrien Hale / Ulster Carpets

Famous for its hourly erupting Volcano, The Mirage was the first mega-resort on The Strip—opened by Steve Wynn in 1989. LVB Burger (now closed) was great for adult milkshakes and fried pickles; and Center Bar for max-relax, is a must-visit (we got a $40 souvenier tiki mug celebrating it’s opening).

The tropical theme portrayed in the carpeting can still be seen (and smelled) thoughout the casino, convention center, and hotel. Each area has its own take on the style, but still they remain cohesive.
